We’re Very Happy to have Hosted Cute Little Ladybug & her South Carolina Family – Scott, Sue, Gayle & Jackie recently at the Beach Bungalow!

Ladybug’s Story:

“Ladybug, a Bichon Labradoodle, joined our family at 12 weeks old. She was a playful tiny puppy full of energy and plenty of personality.  Fast forward to now and she is 10 years old and still full of personality and a lot of sass.  

Our daughters, Gayle(23) and Jackie(21) love to spoil her and try to cuddle with her every chance they get.  Ladybug just soaks it all up!

She loves car rides and doesn’t mind the ride to Florida from Seneca, SC.  As long as Ladybug is with family she’s as happy as could be!” ~~~

We were very happy to host this Orlando, Florida family. Complete with their 3 Adorable Pups & 2 Soft Sweet Bunnies that came along to visit the beach!

Piper’s Story:

“Piper is a seven year old Labrador Retriever, she is the youngest of four, her other three siblings are people. She is a happy , sweet soul who loves everyone and truly believes everyone loves her!

She especially loves the grand kids. Although her family has been visiting the beach bungalow for the last eleven years, this is only Piper’s second visit. She loved it here, her favorite part was laying up on the balcony and listening to the waves, just like her mom!

We look forward to bringing her with us again for another doggy adventure!”

Vinny’s Story:

“We rescued Vinny after hurricane Irma. He had been horribly abused and someone threw him out during the storm. It took days to catch him and it is our purpose for the rest of his days to love him well, as he deserves! He is much older now, doesn’t hear at all or see well. This is the third year we have brought him with us to the Beach Bungalow. He knows this is our ‘happy place’ and he feels very much at peace here. “

Brevard County, Florida is known for having some of the best surfing spots on the East Coast of the United States. Here are a few popular spots for surfing in the area:

1. Indialantic Boardwalk:  The Bungalow is located right on this world famous surfing spot where Kelly Slater, the many times world surfing champion, learned his skills as part of the Shagg’s Surf Shop kids team.  And the waves he learned on still bless our beach most every day of the year!
2. Sebastian Inlet State Park: Sebastian Inlet State Park is located in Melbourne Beach and is considered one of the best surfing spots in Florida. The park has two jetties that create ideal conditions for surfing, with waves that can reach up to 10 feet high.
3. Cocoa Beach Pier: The Cocoa Beach Pier is another popular spot for surfing in Brevard County. The pier creates a sandbar that produces consistent waves that are great for all levels of surfers.
4. Canova Beach Park: Canova Beach Park is located in Indian Harbour Beach and is known for its consistent waves that are ideal for surfing. The beach is also popular for kiteboarding and windsurfing.
5. Melbourne Beach: Melbourne Beach is a popular spot for surfing with waves that are ideal for both beginners and experienced surfers. The beach also has a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for a day of surfing.

These are just a few of the many surfing spots in Brevard County, Florida. There are many other beaches and parks in the area that offer great waves for surfing, as well as other water activities.

There are several good public golf courses in Brevard County, Florida. Here are some of them:

1.  Spessard Holland Golf Course – located in Melbourne Beach, this 18-hole course offers stunning views of the ocean and the Indian River Lagoon.
2. Baytree National Golf Links – located in Melbourne, this 18-hole course features well-manicured fairways and greens.
3. The Savannahs Golf Course – located in Merritt Island, this 18-hole course is known for its challenging layout and natural beauty.
4. Viera East Golf Club – located in Rockledge, this 18-hole course offers a variety of challenges for golfers of all skill levels.
5. Turtle Creek Golf Club – located in Rockledge, this 18-hole course features scenic water hazards and challenging bunkers.
6. The Habitat Golf Course – located in Grant-Valkaria, this 18-hole course offers scenic views and challenging play.
7. Mallards Landing Golf Course – located in Melbourne, this 18-hole course offers a challenging layout and scenic views of the surrounding wetlands.

Brevard County, Florida is home to several species of turtles, both in the ocean and on land. Some of the most common species of turtles found in Brevard County include:

1. Loggerhead sea turtles: These are the most common species of sea turtles in Brevard County, and they can be seen nesting on the beaches between May and August.
2. Green sea turtles: These are another species of sea turtles that can be found in Brevard County. They are more commonly seen in the summer months and can sometimes be found feeding in the seagrass beds in the Indian River Lagoon.
3. Leatherback sea turtles: These are the largest species of sea turtles and can sometimes be seen in the waters off Brevard County. They are less common than loggerheads and greens, however.
4. Eastern box turtles: These are a species of land turtles that can be found in Brevard County. They are often seen in wooded areas and can be identified by their distinct yellow markings on their dark brown shells.
5. Florida softshell turtles: These are another species of land turtles that can be found in Brevard County. They have a flat, leathery shell and can often be found in bodies of water like ponds and rivers.

It is important to remember that turtles, especially sea turtles, are protected by law, and it is illegal to harm or disturb them or their nests. If you encounter a turtle in Brevard County, it is best to observe them from a distance and avoid any actions that could harm them or their environment.

Brevard County, Florida is known for its excellent fishing opportunities. With the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Indian River Lagoon to the west, anglers have a variety of species to target both inshore and offshore. Here are some popular fishing spots and species to catch in Brevard County:

1. Sebastian Inlet State Park: Located on the southern tip of Brevard County, Sebastian Inlet is a popular spot for fishing, especially for snook, redfish, and tarpon.
2. Cocoa Beach Pier: This iconic pier stretches 800 feet into the Atlantic Ocean and is a great spot for catching kingfish, snapper, and sheepshead.
3. Port Canaveral: Known as one of the busiest ports in the world, Port Canaveral is also a popular fishing spot. You can catch a variety of species including redfish, snapper, and grouper.

Before fishing in Brevard County, be sure to obtain a Florida fishing license and check for any local regulations or restrictions. It is also important to practice catch and release to preserve the fish populations for future generations.
